COVID Response

Policies and Procedures

The below changes have been put in place, with the guidance of the CDC, to protect our babysitters, clients and community. These guidelines are subject to change at any time. If you are requesting a babysitter, please abide by these guidelines:

Prior to you babysitter arriving:

  • Pre-screen your family for COVID-19 or any illness symptoms the day of the requested service.

  • If anyone in your family, or traveling party, has any illness symptoms, or has been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days,  please contact your babysitter to cancel as soon as possible.  The 24 hour cancellation policy still applies.

  • If the babysitter becomes symptomatic prior to the booking, the babysitter will immediately contact you, as well as the coordinator. An alternate babysitter will be appointed, based on availability.

  • Your babysitter will only care for children who are part of your immediate traveling party. We will not allow for outside children to join your group. Our goal is consistency to limit contact tracing issues.

  • Please have hand sanitizer, soap and masks. Sitters will provide their own personal supply of these items.

When the sitter arrives, and while providing care:

  • The babysitter may request temperatures to be taken upon entering the home. Babysitters are willing to have their temperature taken as well.

  • If symptoms begin while the child is in the care of a sitter, an adult must be available to return home immediately.

  • Babysitters will be wearing face masks when not able to physically distance (6 feet or greater), children do not need to wear a mask but caregivers are required to when not able to follow social distance protocols.

  • Babysitters will encourage and assist children to maintain hand hygiene, washing and sanitizing when appropriate. Toys or surfaces touched by children and babysitters will be sanitized frequently.

CDC Screening Questions for Families and Babysitters:
Have you, your children or any member of your party that you are traveling with, had ANY of the following symptoms in the last 14 days:

  • Fever or chills (100.4 or above)

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Repeated shaking with chills

Your assigned babysitter may call you prior to the appointment to screen your family of these symptoms. If any of these symptoms are present and disclosed ahead of time, the babysitting appointment and future dates will be cancelled immediately and no cancellation fee applied.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We will enforce a full cancellation fee ($100) if the sitter arrives and then must have to depart immediately due to discovered symptoms.

With safety in mind, we welcome you to submit your babysitting request and you will receive a call from a babysitting coordinator to talk over any and all safety concerns regarding COVID-19.
It will be necessary to agree to all of these terms and conditions prior submitting your babysitting request.
